With the kids out of school for the summer, parents are looking for something that will keep the kids entertained. I’ve put together a list of several websites that have great activities for kids. These first couple sites are local and also contain additional information about the Rock Hill area and the State of South Carolina.
Harden Law provides a guide to summer activities in Rock Hill, SC, offering parents resources to entertain children during school breaks. The guide highlights local options such as "Only in Old Town," an initiative established in 2001 to promote Rock Hill's historic downtown, and SCIWAY, the South Carolina Information Highway, for event calendars. The term “Old Town” was developed in 2001 to identify and market the historically significant area surrounding Rock Hill’s downtown. Old Town is the center of the City, an area that includes historic downtown and the 1.5 mile area surrounding it where Winthrop University, the Textile Corridor and Rock Hill’s original neighborhoods are located. It’s also the name of this website, which claims to be the most comprehensive directory of South Carolina information on the Internet.
